- Julio’s photographic career of 42 years started at an early age of 10. Taking on his first paid Professional job at that very age. Qualified as Architectural Technologist by profession, mastered in Design and photography.
- Returned to his passion for photography in 1991 whereby he introduced it into his Architectural studio as a service to Architectural clients.
- Progressed into Film and Digital photography and co-owned three Photographic colour printing laboratories in South Africa.
- Associated with an International Fashion scout agency, New Model Today – Gianfranco Iobbi – since 1996 where he has worked as a professional photographer in South Africa, Italy and Mauritius.
- Is a registered PPSA member and currently registered with SAPP (South African Professional Photographers).
- Skilled in various photographic softwares: ACDSee, Photoshop, Capture NX-2, NX-D, Nik Software and others.
- Currently contracted as a facilitator for Nikon SA. Offering Free to specialised Workshops including software training.
- Proficient on all camera brands, represents CNP Safaris as a freelance photographic guide in South Africa, Botswana and Namibia.
- Involved with International YPO organisation for the last 4years as a preferred photographic resource.
- Assists forensic and medical institutions / laboratories in photography skills in South Africa and Botswana.
- Freelances for other photography companies abroad – tutors photography in Mauritius.
- Worked with Nikon SA from 2000 to 2016 and held the position of Head facilitator, School Technical service with NPS. Still a full time contractual photographic Facilitator from 2016 to 2020 for Nikon SA., Premium Brand.
- Sole owner of Julio M Photography and MBL Studio and MD for IAMPHOTOADVENTURES
- Trained over 64 thousand photographic students in photography from Fundamentals to advanced photography, in a auditorium to private 1on1 tuition.
- Has passion, patience and people’s skills together with vast photographic and technical experience to take any enthusiast, amateur or professionals to excel to the next level beyond expectation.
- Instructed courses for MSA (Motorsport South Africa) with and is a registered FIM MSA sports photographer. Contracted commercial photographer to shoot for clients like Miway, Brad Anassis, Bell, Yamaha, Ford, Lance Izacs, GTC – Terry Moss racing, Pieter Lindenberg racing, Jaguar and many others.
- Photographes commercially for Jaguar, Cameo, Radio ripple, Rapport News, Nikon, Land Rover, Simola Hill Climb, ZABikers, Premiumgroup, MeatZA, Nikon, Africa by Design, MyWay, Neolife, Yamaha, KMSA-Kawasaki, NISSAN, Bikerlifestyle and Redline magazine just to mention a few.
- Vast knowledge in colour printing from Fuji film, Digital Frontier and on large EPSON canvas printers.
- Enjoys the art of black and white medium and wildlife.
